Performance Food Group is seeking an Accounting/Finance Intern to join the Accounting and Finance teams. You’ll be a full contributor, rotating across tasks to gain broad-based experience and collaborate with seasoned professionals.

Interns will learn how departments impact the business and complete tasks to support monthly close, forecasting, and financial statement reviews. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and professional development.

Qualifications

• College Junior graduating in May 2028 or before.
• Pursuing Accounting or Finance degree with required GPA of 3.0.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs.
• Must pass post-offer background and drug test.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand internal business intelligence tool.

• Participate on weekly Revenue Management calls.
• Create KPI materials and identify drivers of divisional margin performance.
• Participate in monthly forecasting process.
• Perform customer profitability analysis.
• Participate in divisional fiscal period financial statement review.
• Understand account reconciliation and journal entry creation.
• Understand G/L software and navigation.
• Understand monthly tax filings.
• Participate in month end close process.

Job Description

The Accounting/Finance Intern will be a member of PFG's Accounting and Finance departments. As a PFG Accounting/Finance Intern you'll be welcomed as a full contributor - a true part of the team. You'll participate in multiple roles to gain broad-based learning experience and collaborate with some of the best in the business.

Interns will gain a basic understanding of the department to which they are assigned and understand how that department impacts the overall business. A variety of tasks will be completed to facilitate the achievement of those goals.

Revenue Management/Financial Planning & Analysis Tasks

• Understanding of internal business intelligence tool
• Understanding of customer profitability & opportunities to influence
• Understanding Performance Food Groups financial statements
• Participate on weekly Revenue Management calls
