Job summary

GEICO, a Berkshire Hathaway company and one of the largest auto insurers in the United States, seeks bright analytical students for its summer Analyst Internship Program (AIP) within the CFO Organization. You will work on significant analyst projects, gain exposure to financial reporting, and prepare for a potential Controllers Rotational Track—Controllers Track—upon graduation.

Eligible students should have a relevant accounting/finance degree focus, a 3.0+ GPA, and be within commuting distance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or related analytical/FinTech major; expected graduation Dec 2027–May 2028.
• GPA 3.0+ (transcripts required)
• Demonstrated interest in Finance via internships or student/business activities or coursework
• Must live within commutable distance to New York City or Bethesda, MD and work hybrid, three days per week in office
• Core skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI; financial systems experience or willingness to learn (e.g., Workday Financials)
• Preferred: GAAP knowledge and strong analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities
• Annual salary range noted: 26.46–41.21 per hour; GEICO does not sponsor for this role

Responsibilities

• Work on significant analyst projects and present to senior management
• Develop analytical, project management, and communication skills
• Drive financial processing innovation and transformation within GEICO’s CFO Organization
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze results and recommend investments
• Receive mentorship and coaching from CFO Organization management
• Interact with associates across the Finance organization, including the CFO’s team
