Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to join our finance team for a hands-on summer experience. You will be embedded with a mentor, own portions of analyses, and present a capstone project with recommendations to Finance leadership.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, reporting, and collaboration across multiple functions. Ideal candidates are pursuing finance or related degrees, and have strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program and returning to a degree program in Fall.
• Available to work full-time (≈40 hours/week) during a 10–12 week period starting May or June.
• US work authorization required; visa sponsorship not available.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial and operational analyses to support planning, forecasting, budgeting, and decision making.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using financial and operational data.
• Conduct ROI and cost-benefit analyses; identify process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
• Lead a capstone project and present findings to Finance leadership.
