Fitch Ratings in Chicago seeks a Financial Analyst to join our Chicago office. This role supports a specialized research team responsible for real-time coverage of a broad universe of companies, leveraging Fitch’s credit and analytics framework.

You will develop detailed financial models, process reconciliations and acquisitions, review filings, and ensure accuracy under tight deadlines. A bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience are required, with CPA/CFA strongly

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
2–5 years of accounting or finance experience.
Strong understanding of cash flows and financial statements (BS, CF, IS) with ability to build and maintain financial models.
Detail oriented with accuracy in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
Ability to process reconciliations, restatements, and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

Support senior research staff to maintain real-time coverage across a broad universe of companies.
Compile detailed financial models and process reconciliations, restatements, and acquisitions.
Review company documents to identify news, financial and non-financial data in real time.
Prepare and review own work product for accuracy in a time-sensitive environment.
