The City of Tualatin is seeking a detail-oriented Management Analyst II to join the Finance Department. This role focuses on coordinating, developing and implementing special projects with broad organizational impact, including preparing the annual budget and supporting grant programs.

The position emphasizes analytical skills, financial management, and effective liaison with staff, City Council, and external partners to improve city operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related field required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in project management, public administration, and financial analysis.
  • Equivalency of experience and training may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and manages the Finance Department annual budget using city software and Excel.
  • Assists in the city-wide budget process and prepares Proposed and Adopted Budget documents.
  • Monitors the city-wide budget and tracks trends for compliance with Oregon Local Budget Law.
  • Provides financial and budget related analysis.
  • Supports city departments on local, state and federal grants.
  • Updates Finance Department web pages with up-to-date information.
  • Acts as liaison to city committees and coordinates with staff and outside agencies.
  • Drives to city facilities, vendors, training programs, and meetings as necessary.
