Job summary

Petco is seeking a financial analyst to support decision-making through rigorous financial analysis, advanced Excel/Access use, and strategic data interpretation. You will work with senior management to analyze performance, develop reports, and drive improvements across capital projects.

The role requires a 4-year business degree (finance or accounting preferred) and a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Experience with Essbase is a plus, and travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Business, preferably in Finance or Accounting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Previous experience working with financial software and Essbase is strongly preferred.

• Drive the complete capital project lifecycle, from initial financial analysis and modeling to managing the approval process and communicating recommendations.

Work Environment:

The majority of job duties are conducted while seated indoors at a computer terminal, with little or no exposure to hazards. Occasional travel may be required due to business acquisitions and the performance of due diligence.

Education (Required):

4-year degree in Business, preferably in Finance or Accounting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Work Experience (Required):

minimum of 3 years related experience in financial analysis is required. Strong interpersonal communications skills are necessary due to the nature and level of interaction with other department personnel as well as senior management.

Work Experience (Preferred):

Previous experience working with financial software and Essbase is strongly preferred.

Skills:

possess strong financial analytical skills, have an advanced skill level with MS Excel and Access, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
