Job summary

Google is hiring a Financial Analyst for the Media Incentives team in New York, NY. You will analyze FP&A scenarios, model investments, and track performance metrics used by leaders to guide strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative field.
• 7 years of FP&A, consulting, or related experience (or an advanced degree).
• Experience executing full-cycle FP&A: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling in a multinational setting.
• Experience with programming and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and insights to support the Media Incentives team in managing financial performance of volume-based incentives for video growth.
• Develop quantitative analyses around incentives programs, including ROI and incrementality studies, in partnership with other teams.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, and partner teams to ensure strategic alignment and data integrity.
• Support regional Finance teams globally in crafting incentive portfolios aligned to business goals.
• Forecast P&L impact of incentive programs as part of the FP&A process.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
• Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
• Experience with programming (i.e. SQL).

Preferred qualifications

• Experience writing SQL queries and retrieving data from relational databases.
• Ability to self-start and self-directed work in an unstructured environment; comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment
• Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational level.
• Ability to create and foster strong cross-functional networks and manage without authority; excellent leadership, influencing and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and the ability to communicate and partner with a executive management team.
• Excellent spreadsheet skills with experience creating financial dashboards or models.
