Job summary

Zip Co Limited is seeking a Finance AI & Transformation Analyst to help build the next generation of how Finance operates at Zip. You will apply hands-on AI-enabled and process-driven solutions to modernize Finance processes and workflows, map high-friction areas, diagnose root causes, and design scalable improvements.

This is a hybrid role for US-based employees, with an expectation of 3 days per week in our Union Square Manhattan office.

We're looking for a Finance AI & Transformation Analyst to help build the next generation of how Finance operates at Zip.

Sitting within Finance Change & Transformation, you'll bring strong transformation instincts and hands-on experience with both AI-enabled and process-driven solutions, and apply them to modernize Finance processes and workflows. You'll identify high-friction processes, diagnose root causes, and design scalable solutions that improve efficiency and deliver measurable business impact.

You'll identify where AI can create meaningful value, build foundational workflows yourself, and translate complex opportunities into clear business and technical requirements.

This is a hands-on role for a systems thinker with a builder mindset. You'll structure the plan, align on the outcome, then coordinate stakeholders and resolve issues to get there.

Interesting problems you'll get to solve

Evolve and Scale an AI-Enabled Finance

• Identify workflows where AI, automation, or agentic solutions can create meaningful business value.
• Prototype, test, and build agentic workflows and automations, using LLM-based tools and no-code/low-code platforms, that solve real Finance problems.
• Translate Finance use cases into clear requirements across workflows, data, controls, exceptions, human oversight, and success metrics.
• Partner within internal Finance pillars (Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Tax) as well as cross functional teams (Data, Engineering, and Agentic Platform teams) to design, test, deploy, govern, and continuously improve solutions.

Finance Transformation Program Delivery

• Lead transformation workstreams with stakeholder alignment at key decision points, from diagnosing problems and gathering requirements through solution design, implementation, testing, change management, and impact measurement
• Diagnose process, system, and control gaps and recommend scalable, standardized future-state solutions that reduce complexity.
• Own project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, stakeholder communications, and day-to-day delivery.
• Measure success through efficiency, accuracy, control effectiveness, adoption, and improved decision quality.

Drive Cross-Functional Change

• Build alignment across Finance, Data, Technology, Compliance, and other teams, surfacing risks and keeping work moving.
• Develop recommendations and drive adoption through strong business cases, executive communication, documentation, training, and stakeholder feedback.
• Develop executive-ready updates and presentations for senior stakeholders, including CFO and CEO.

What you'll bring to the team

Required

• 5-8 years of professional experience driving transformation or technology-enabled process improvement, with hands-on experience building or shipping AI-enabled tools, workflows, or automations.
• Demonstrated ownership of cross-functional transformation initiatives from problem definition through implementation, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
• Proven project management skills across requirements, gap analysis, roadmaps, timelines, stakeholder management, risk, and change adoption.
• Hands-on experience using generative AI, automation, or agentic tools to design, prototype, and ship real workflows or products, not just experimenting with them.
• Strong product and systems mindset, with the ability to identify where AI and automation create value and translate business problems into clear requirements for technical teams.
• Working understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use, including data quality, validation, privacy, controls, and human oversight.
• Strong communication and influence, with the ability to engage senior leaders and drive cross-functional progress without direct authority.
• Strong critical thinking, organization, attention to detail, and judgment in ambiguous environments.

Preferred

• Strong grounding in core financial concepts and processes, with a background in accounting, treasury, FP&A, or similar.
• Hands-on experience in finance transformation initiatives, with an understanding of end-to-end finance data flows.
• Experience working within a complex, high-growth, fintech, financial services, or regulated environment.
• Proven experience in finance process optimization or system implementation.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems, along with other core Finance systems.

Zip is committed to a straightforward and transparent pay structure. The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations.

The annual base Pay Range for this position is $128,000 - $140,000 USD. This range reflects our *Premium Location band (US2). Different bands may apply based on our tiered premium strategy if residence is outside of the Greater Manhattan area.

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
