Job summary

Faraday Future is seeking a Finance & AI Automation Intern to join our California finance team in Los Angeles. You’ll apply AI tools and light coding to accelerate repetitive tasks while gaining exposure to capital markets and funding activity.

No finance background required; training will be provided. You will collaborate with the finance team on data cleaning, reporting, and market research, developing small automations and documented workflows that improve efficiency in a fast-moving startup

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in CS, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, or Economics.
• Interest in AI and technology; some exposure to Python or basic automations.
• Ability to read basic finance concepts and adapt to a lean, fast-moving environment.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Use AI tools and basic coding to speed up data cleaning, categorization, research, and reporting.
• Assist with core finance work: analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and month-end data prep.
• Track capital-market activities and prepare investor materials.
• Research market and peers, producing clean summaries for finance and IR teams.

Your Role

Finance & AI Automation Intern – a seat for a technically‑minded student eager to apply AI in a real public‑company finance team. You’ll use AI tools (and simple code if needed) to speed up repetitive finance tasks, gaining exposure to the company’s capital‑markets and funding activity. No finance background is required; we’ll teach you the fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

• AI & Automation: Use AI tools (and basic Python or no‑code tools) to accelerate data cleaning, categorization, research, and reporting; build, test, and document small automations and AI workflows under the guidance of the finance team.
• Finance Support: Assist with core finance work – financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and month‑end data preparation.
• Capital Markets: Track equity financing, convertible instruments, and financing timelines; support cap‑table, dilution, and funding trackers and investor/IR materials.
• Research: Conduct market, peer, and investor research (accelerated with AI) and prepare clean, well‑sourced summaries for the finance and IR teams.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Technical Aptitude: Strong interest in AI and technology; some exposure to basic coding (e.g., Python) or building simple automations through coursework or personal projects.
• Finance Interest: Ability to read a basic P&L or eagerness to learn; comfortable with the company’s financial systems and data.
• Detail Orientation: Proactive, reliable, detail‑oriented, and enthusiastic about finding smarter ways to work in a fast‑moving, lean environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Capital Markets: Interest or exposure to capital markets and fundraising through coursework, a club, an internship, or self‑study.
• Tools: Familiarity with Python, no‑code automation (e.g., Zapier or Make), or AI coding assistants.
• Projects: Experience building AI or code projects – class projects, scripts, or side projects.
• Language: Bilingual Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
