Mouser Electronics is seeking a Finance/FP&A professional to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting. You will build dashboards, analyze trends, and partner with ERP and data sources to enable data-driven decisions.

You will develop data models, automate processes, and deliver clear leadership-ready insights with accurate methodologies. Collaboration across teams and continuous process improvement are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics or related field.
  • 1 year of FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting experience preferred.
  • Internship or project experience involving financial analysis or data analytics is a plus.
  • Exposure to forecasting, budgeting, or variance analysis is preferred.

Responsabilités

  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis cycle by preparing analyses, identifying key drivers, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and analyses that improve visibility into business performance.
  • Work with ERP, planning, and other business data sources to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Validate and reconcile data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across financial reports and analyses.
  • Assist with the development and adoption of new planning, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives through automation, standardization, and improved use of technology.
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools and automation technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and enhance decision support.
  • Assist in developing data models, analytical tools, and reporting solutions that improve access to business insights.
  • Prepare materials and analysis for leadership reviews, ensuring information is clear, accurate, and actionable.
  • Document assumptions, methodologies, and business logic used in reporting and analysis.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests by gathering data, structuring analyses, and delivering timely insights.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business operations and how operational drivers influence financial performance.

Skills & Certifications
  • Skill evaluation: Behavioral (80%); Excel (80%)
  • Foundation in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze data efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, validation, and auditability.
  • Ability to learn new systems, technologies, and business processes quickly.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate analytical findings into business insights.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and interest in leveraging technology to improve business processes.
  • Exposure to data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, automation tools, or AI-enabled technologies preferred.
  • Finance certifications or progress toward them a plus (e.g., CPA, CFA).
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting.
  • Internship or project experience involving financial analysis, data analytics, reporting, automation, or AI tools is a plus.
  • Exposure to forecasting, budgeting, or variance analysis in an internship or prior role preferred.
