Job summary

Kiewit in Itasca, IL is seeking a Finance Administrator to join our Administration team. In this entry-level role, you will support accounts payable, reporting, and financial data management while helping project teams stay organized and compliant.

You’ll use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Concur, and SharePoint to prepare documents, track expenses, and assist with monthly close. The position offers a collaborative environment, strong training, and opportunities to grow within KIWE.

Qualifications

  • 0–5 years of finance, accounting, administrative, or business support experience; entry-level candidates with strong analytical skills encouraged to apply.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Concur, ERP systems, or other financial software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for finance, accuracy, and supporting business operations? Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering (KIWE) is seeking a Finance Administrator to join our growing team in Itasca, IL.

In this role, you'll support the financial and administrative activities that help keep our projects and operations running smoothly. Working closely with project teams and business leaders, you'll assist with reporting, documentation, financial tracking, and day-to-day coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

District Overview

Kiewit’s Industrial and Water Engineering Group has the ability and the responsibility to greatly influence the successful outcome of our projects. Our team is multi-faceted, with best-in-class technical expertise focused on EPC and design-build delivery of industrial projects in markets such as Food & Beverage, Mineral Processing, Renewable Fuels, Pulp and Paper, Steel & Aluminum, Industrial Buildings, and Industrial Energy, Water and Utilities.

Responsibilities

As a Finance Administrator, you'll support the team across a variety of financial and administrative activities, including:

Base Compensation: $20/hr - $30/hr
