Job summary

Temple University’s School of Pharmacy seeks an Assistant Director of Finance & Administration to provide financial, administrative, and operational oversight. The role supports planning, monitoring, and analysis of resources, including sponsored funds, and guides leadership with financial recommendations.

The position oversees post‑award management, payroll, purchasing, reporting, and internal controls, collaborating across departments to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of directly related experience; equivalent combinations considered.
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial processes and controls.
• Ability to collect/analyze data, evaluate information, and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and reconcile cost center reports, operating funds, and sponsored accounts.
• Provide ongoing financial management of operating and sponsored funds, monitoring expenditures and balances.
• Lead post-award financial and administrative review for sponsored research, ensuring compliance with budgets and sponsor terms.
• Process sponsored transactions including payroll adjustments, transfers, and cost transfers.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and analyses for leadership to inform decisions.
• Develop policies and controls to strengthen internal processes and compliance.
