Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in finance/accounting, including 5+ years in apparel/footwear.
• 2+ years in a senior finance role (Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, journal entries).
• Reconcile factory invoices against POs and receipts (AP matching).
• Manage budgeting process and collaborate on forecasts and variance analysis.
• Own the order-to-cash cycle from invoicing to collections and cash application.
• Support month-end and year-end close and ERP data integrity.
• Partner with production, logistics, and customer service on landed cost and margin.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Production Coordinator to join our team on-site in NYC.

Position Summary

The Finance & Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial analysis for the business, including AP/AR, journal entries, banking reconciliations, factor management, and financial reporting. This role requires strong apparel/footwear industry experience, ERP proficiency, and the ability to manage the full order-to-cash cycle in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and journal entries.
• Perform AP matching for finished goods production, reconciling factory invoices against purchase orders and receipts.
• Re-class expenses and ensure accurate coding and categorization across the general ledger.
• Own the order-to-cash cycle, from customer invoicing through collections and cash application.
• Manage banking reconciliations and day-to-day cash management activities.
• Manage the factoring relationship (e.g., CIT), including submissions, approvals, and reconciliations.
• Lead the budgeting process and partner with leadership on forecasting and variance analysis.
• Develop comprehensive financial analytics and reporting to support business decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records within the ERP system and support month-end and year-end close.
• Partner with production, logistics, and customer service teams on costing, landed cost, and margin analysis.
• Support external audit, tax, and compliance requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in finance/accounting, including 5+ years in apparel and/or footwear.
• Minimum of 2 years in a senior finance role (e.g., Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with CPA a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AP, AR, journal entries, re-classing expenses, and budgeting.
• Experience with AP matching for finished goods production.
• Experience managing banking reconciliations and factor relationships (e.g., CIT).
• Strong understanding of the order-to-cash cycle.
• ERP experience required; ApparelMagic, Full Circle, Blue Cherry, SAP, M3, Xorosoft, or AIMS360 preferred, but other similar systems are acceptable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to build comprehensive financial reporting and analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
