Job summary

General Motors in Detroit/Warren, MI is seeking a paid summer internship in Finance—Accounting. You will collaborate with GM’s globally diverse organizations to assemble data, perform analyses, and present recommendations to senior executives, while networking with peers, leaders and finance professionals.

This hybrid program runs May–June 2027. You’ll explore Controllership activities, learn balance sheet and cash flow analysis, and gain exposure to CPA pathways and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
• Graduating between Oct 2027 and Jun 2028; CPA coursework if pursuing CPA.
• Able to work full time, 40 hours per week during the summer months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with GM to assemble data and present recommendations to executives.
• Support cross-functional teams and participate in a finance case competition and plant tour.
• Gain exposure to Controllership work and reporting.
