Job summary

Freddie Mac’s Finance Division seeks curious Accounting & Finance Interns to gain hands-on experience in accounting, finance, business analysis, and the mortgage industry. You will support closing the books and preparing GAAP financial statements while learning how data informs decisions.

This paid internship starts in May 2027 for current juniors or rising seniors, with graduation in December 2027 or May 2028.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Current junior in college or rising senior at the time of the internship.
Availability to begin the internship in May 2027.
Graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.

Responsibilities

Support accounting activities related to “closing the books” and producing accurate GAAP financial statements.
Develop your business understanding by reporting on and analyzing data.
Assist in preparing unbiased financial reports on business performance for internal management.
Gain an understanding of specialized areas of the Finance Division and related areas of the company.
Contribute to projects that help solve business problems with guidance from experienced team members.
Collaborate with colleagues to execute projects, share knowledge, and build relationships.
