Job summary

CFGI is seeking a Manager who will work with Fortune 500 and other clients, leading project teams and engaging with clients and their Big 4 auditors on complex engagements. You will own projects from start to finish, mentoring staff and contributing to business development.

You must have 5–8 years in public accounting or related fields and at least 2 years at a Big 4 firm, with strong U.S. GAAP and regulatory knowledge. Flexible office/remote locations are available depending on the engagement.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, consulting, and/or corporate accounting/finance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC).
  • Experience applying U.S. GAAP through financial statement preparation, audit engagements, month-end close, financial reporting, or technical accounting research.
  • Experience leading engagement workstreams, supervising staff, and managing project timelines and deliverables.
  • Experience reviewing work product and serving as primary client contact.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate with client’s senior management to solve complex accounting issues and draft proposed resolutions.
  • Review work by consultants on operational due diligence for transactions (acquisitions/divestitures, IPOs, debt raises).
  • Coordinate and review SEC/regulatory filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, S-1, S-4.
  • Conduct research and documentation on new ASC accounting standards.
  • Lead process improvement projects and mentor consultants in the firm.

What you might expect
  • Integration with client’s senior management to solve complex accounting issues and for preparation of proposed resolutions.
  • Review of work prepared by consultants on operational due diligence for complex transactions (i.e. - acquisitions and divestitures, stock offerings, debt raises, IPO’s).
  • Review of consultants’ deliverables of financial and regulatory information in accordance with SEC and regulatory requirements (i.e. - 10K’s, 10Q’s, S-1 and S-4 filings, audit coordination).
  • Research and documentation projects related to new ASC accounting standards.
  • Process improvement projects and implementation of changes.
  • Lead and mentor consultants, acting as a role model, and providing creative solutions that enhance the consultant’s overall experience.
  • Participate in the firm’s recruiting efforts, client relationship building, and business development efforts.

  • Experience performing technical accounting research, preparing accounting memoranda, and/or applying guidance in complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, or stock‑based compensation.

CFGI is dedicated to offering our employees strong and inclusive total compensation packages. Offer packages are based on several factors, such as the specific role and level being hired for, location, as well as the individual's skills, experiences, and qualifications. The good‑faith estimated base salary range for this position is: $115,000 - $145,000. In addition to the base compensation, CFGI offers a competitive benefits package and various bonus programs and incentives, based upon an individual’s level and overall work performance.
