Job summary

Pival International Inc. is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end close.

You will work with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting. The role may involve payroll-related reconciliations and requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and adherence to internal controls and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Experience - 2 to 4 years in accounting, AP/AR, GL, or finance operations.
• Education - College diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Technical skills - Strong Excel and MS Office; experience with accounting systems.
• Payroll knowledge - Payroll accounting or reconciliations is an asset.
• Accuracy & organization - detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication - clear, professional communication with internal teams, vendors, customers, and finance stakeholders.
• Confidentiality - handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
• Quality & compliance - support quality, environmental, and sustainable practices and ensure procedures are followed.
• QMS/EMS - Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 standard requirements.

Responsibilities

• Month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and analysis.
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts as assigned.
• Prepare financial reports and variance explanations for management review.
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and other finance requests.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including billing and reconciliation.
