Job summary

Atlas Copco Group seeks a hands-on supervisor for the quality assurance team, directing inspectors and meeting daily and weekly targets on-site at our Saugerties, NY facility.

The role requires 3-5 years of assembly experience and 1-3 years in a lead role, with strong ability to read engineered drawings and motivate the team. ERP system knowledge (Encompix) is a plus, and a proactive, safety-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of lead or supervisory experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams.
• Good communication skills and ability to motivate and build team morale.
• Knowledge of Encompix and ERP systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Executes the quality assurance plan by directing a team of quality inspectors, ensuring daily and weekly quality targets are met.
• Drives a safety-first culture within the team and leads by example.
• Facilitates training for the quality assurance team, providing supervision and guidance as required.
• Communicates progress updates and manages troubleshooting across teams and functional areas.
• Maintains an organized work area (5S) including workstations, equipment, and walkways.
• Participates and contributes to continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency.
• Maintains positive team morale with an open atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation.
• Acts as the subject matter expert for quality processes.
• Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Responsible for labor transaction maintenance functions for the team and Encompix on routing operations.
• Responsible for the performance management cycle for all direct staff.
• Respectfully takes direction from the Flow Team Manager Manager and performs other duties as assigned.

Education level

• High School diploma minimum, Associate degree is a benefit.

Relevant Previous experience

• 3-5 years assembly experience required.
• 1-3 years of lead or supervisory experience

Knowledge areas/Skills

• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools and small power tools.

Other requirements

• Ability to lead and supervise a small group.
• Good communication skills, ability to motivate and build team moral.

Salary: $33.00-$38.00/per hour
