Job summary

Intuitive is seeking an FQI Technician to perform testing and quality screening of electro-mechanical assemblies for surgical robotic systems. You will simulate customer use, identify quality issues, and work with manufacturing and quality engineering to resolve problems before product release.

You will support NPI, assist QE in data mining and reporting, and lead process-improvement projects while maintaining training records and daily logs.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform quality screening for electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient with spreadsheets and standard office software (Excel, Word, email).

Responsibilities

• Assist NPI Engineering during new systems platform introduction.
• Assist QE’s in SAP data mining and reports preparation.
• Manage projects and special assignments from the Management team.
• Conduct training for Systems FQI and maintain training records.
• Prepare quality reports and present data during engineering walkthrough.
• Assist QE’s and MEs in product quality investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Initiate, lead and implement efficiency and process improvement projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for product flow prioritization.
• Execute IQ/OQ protocols for capitalized and loaner systems.
• Execute PPQ and V&V protocols.
• Redline QAP and other applicable work instructions.
• Update FQI daily test log and EOS reports origination.
• Follows all corporate, safety, production procedures and regulations.

Primary Function of Position:

The Final Quality Inspection (FQI) technician works under general direction follows oral and/or written instruction and performs testing processes to produce tested electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. This position requires a highly-motivated team player to support quality screening for surgical robotic systems, instruments and accessories by simulating customer use, identify potential quality issues and working cross functionally with manufacturing and quality engineering teams to correct and verify issues prior to product release.
