Job summary

Major Tool & Machine (MTM) in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Quality Final Inspector to support final certification, perform dimensional, visual and functional inspections, and ensure documentation is complete before shipment.

You will work under the Quality Inspection Team Leader, assemble data packages, and help maintain ASME and nuclear documentation as required. The role demands reading complex drawings and precise measurement skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings/specifications.
• Proficiency with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, comparators).
• Competency with Inspection Data Checklists (IDCs) and QA planning systems.
• Understanding of NDE/NDT acceptance documentation.
• Knowledge of ASME, nuclear, or related documentation.
• Strong written documentation skills and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Follow assignment and prioritization direction via the Priority Dispatch List (PDL) for Final Inspection resource IDs.
• Verify completion of quality requirements prior to acceptance, including PO, drawings, design outputs, IDCs and data packages.
• Perform final dimensional, visual, and functional inspections per customer specs; use video scope for inaccessible features.
• Record inspection evidence accurately and capture photos/videos for QAP docs.
• Enter Certificate of Conformance and Cover Sheet data into the QAP program after acceptance.
• Assemble and review the final data package for completeness, correctness and traceability.
• Execute the Green Tag process and notify Quality Management and CFT for review.
• Support ASME/nuclear requirements and related approvals with Quality leadership.
