Job summary

Permobil, Inc. in Belleville, MO, is seeking an Inspector Final QA to ensure the quality of components and final products by inspecting processes, validating labeling, and preventing nonconforming items from shipping.

You will inspect in-process parts, maintain inspection records for trends, support defect investigations, and collaborate across teams to drive continuous improvement and on-time product release. Standing and lifting up to 25 pounds are required for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, 1+ related experience required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process components and final product for defects and correct components to determine which products will pass inspection; inspect reworked product to determine if designated rework was completed properly; reject and segregate nonconforming product; confirm product labeling and final package contents prior to final booking.
• Perform conformal inspection prior to assembly and maintain records of rejected conformals and causes for trending and continuous improvement.
• Perform inspection of finished product for release; ensure rejections are properly recorded for adequate trending and continuous improvement.
• Perform inspection of returned product and assist with complaint investigations of returned products.
• Conduct bubble testing of products during defect investigations.
• Conduct other inspection activities as required through the facility.
• Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.
• Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.
