Mattress Warehouse Llc in West Columbia, SC is seeking a dependable Final Mile Driver to deliver mattresses and setup beds at customers’ homes. You will operate a 26’ truck, lift heavy items, assemble frames, and ensure a safe, professional delivery experience.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to pass background and drug tests, and willingness to work Tuesday through Saturday with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Final Mile Driver / Mattress Delivery and Setup

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Final Mile Driver to deliver mattresses, foundations, adjustable bases, and other bedding products directly to customers’ homes. This position requires safe driving, heavy lifting, careful product handling, and professional customer service.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay: $20–$22 per hour, based on perfect attendance for the full workweek.
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday.
• Typical end time: 3:00 p.m.
• Employees must be available to work later than 3:00 p.m. as business and delivery needs require.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26’ delivery truck along assigned routes.
• Load, unload, and deliver mattresses and bedding products.
• Carry large and heavy products into customers’ homes, including through narrow hallways and up or down stairs.
• Assemble bed frames, adjustable bases, and related products when required.
• Place products in the customer’s requested room.
• Remove packaging materials and eligible old bedding when requested.
• Confirm deliveries and obtain customer signatures using a mobile device.
• Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch regarding delivery status or issues.
• Protect customers’ homes and belongings during delivery.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns.
• Follow all company, traffic, and workplace safety requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass a drug test that includes screening for marijuana.
• Previous delivery, moving, warehouse, or final-mile experience is a plus.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry mattresses and other heavy or oversized products throughout the workday.
• Must be comfortable working as part of a two-person delivery team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Must be able to follow delivery routes, schedules, and instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Must be available to work overtime and extended shifts when business needs require.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry heavy or bulky merchandise.
• Repeatedly bend, reach, twist, climb stairs, and enter or exit a delivery vehicle.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Remain physically active throughout the entire shift.
