Job summary

Hose Master, a family-owned manufacturer in Reno, NV, seeks a Final/Receiving Inspector to verify products meet specifications and document test data. You will cross-train across departments and print PMI reports as needed.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read English instructions, and operate micrometers/calipers, measuring tools, and basic computer systems. This is a full-time on-site role with standard 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints and specifications.
• Dimensionally inspects, tests, or measures materials or products.
• Able to use micrometers, calipers, gauges, tape measure or Pi tape.
• Prints PMI reports and is PMI-inspection qualified.
• Receives inspection of components from suppliers using various instruments.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understands and follows English instructions.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and specifications.
• Dimensionally inspects, tests, or measures materials or products being produced.
• Measures products with rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, tape measure, or Pi tape.
• Accepts or rejects finished or raw material items.
• Removes all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
• Discusses inspection results with Dept. Supervisor, Area Leader, and Dept. Engineer.
• Reports inspection and test data as needed; enters into NC Log database.
• Follows all Work Instructions for final inspection criteria and non-conforming products.
• Prints material certifications for customer orders as required.
• Prepares all shipment paperwork as required.
• Performs additional training duties as requested.
• Packages orders for customer shipments as required.
