Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation, through Parker Aerospace in Glendale, AZ, is seeking an NDT Logger for the 3rd shift. You will perform NDT inspections, maintain records, and ensure accurate documentation in support of aerospace manufacturing quality.

The role requires a HS diploma, 2 years' aerospace inspection experience, and the ability to read blueprints and standards. Lifting up to 35 lbs and strong communication are expected in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2 years' aerospace manufacturing experience or inspection/quality paperwork.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturers' specs and internal drawings.
  • NDT department experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
  • May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work in a team.

NDT Inspector - Logger - 3rd Shift
This position will be on 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday, 10pm - 6am)
Position summary/Essential Functions

With general guidance in a team environment, NDT Loggers are responsible for various inspection requirements within the NDT department.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications.
  • Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and/or calibration history.
Inspection

Interpret specifications, charts and manuals. Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements and military standards and/or calibrations procedures.

Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures.

Qualifications
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience in Aerospace manufacturing, Inspection / Quality paperwork, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
  • Previous experience working in an NDT department or within an NDT function is preferred
  • Possess working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
  • Personal hand tools may be required.
  • May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills. Able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
