Job summary

Princeton Precision Group is seeking a Final Inspector to perform detailed inspections of aerospace components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards. The role involves documenting results, maintaining records, and supporting audits to ensure quality delivery for defense programs.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in aerospace quality inspection, strong measurement instrument skills, and solid GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or certification preferred.
  • 3–5 years in quality inspection, aerospace experience preferred.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools and instruments.
  • Strong GD&T understanding.
  • Familiar with ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional, visual and functional inspections of aerospace components per drawings and specs.
  • Verify proper assembly, workmanship and material integrity.
  • Document inspection results according to company procedures.
  • Create and maintain inspection records, certifications and NCRs.
  • Assist in final inspection reports and quality documentation for customer delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to FAA, EASA and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Support internal/external audits with inspection records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with quality engineers, production and supply chain to address issues.
  • Communicate inspection results and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators).
  • Verify proper assembly, workmanship, and material integrity.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly in accordance with company procedures.
  • Create and maintain inspection records, certifications, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Assist in the preparation of final inspection reports and quality documentation for customer delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines (FAA, EASA, etc.).
  • Support internal and external audits by providing inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Work closely with quality engineers, production teams, and supply chain personnel to address quality issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding inspection results and recommendations
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or technical certification in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in quality inspection or a similar role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and tools.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in using inspection software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
