Job summary

RHF in Conover, NC is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector for our Century Classic Plant 12 facility. The role focuses on inspecting furniture pieces, verifying information, and ensuring finish quality on a day shift.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read route sheets, and prior inspection experience is a plus. You will lift up to 100 pounds and stand for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect furniture pieces and place on lift when needed.
• Check tickets for proper information and instructions.
• Remove loose strings and clean surfaces as required.
• Use air hose to blow cotton fragments off pieces as needed.
• Clean soiled areas to remove marks.
• Check for bad stitching, seams, welt size, fabric or scars.
• Ensure proper cushion fit and fabric match.
• Steam out wrinkles when necessary.
• Place deck labels and hang tags on each piece.

Position Details:

• Inspect furniture, placing on lift if necessary.
• Check ticket for proper information and instructions
• Remove all loose strings
• Use air hose to blow cotton fragments off of piece if necessary
• Clean soiled areas using proper cleaner to remove any marks
• Check for bad stitching or seams
• Check for too small or large welt
• Check for flaws in fabric or scars in material
• Check for proper cushion fit and proper fabric match
• Steam out wrinkles where needed
• Place deck labels and proper hang tag in each piece

• Able to read route sheets
• Previous inspection experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift 25 to 100 pounds to lift table
• Able to inspect 100 to 150 pieces of furniture a day
• Bending, stooping, and twisting throughout 9 hour shift
• Standing 9 hours a day
• Able to load product onto finish chain
