Surface Preparation Technologies LLC is seeking a full-time Estimating Coordinator in New Kingstown, PA. You will provide administrative and operational support to the estimating department, assisting with bid preparation, proposal development, bid tracking, and project documentation.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, coordinating bid documents, and maintaining bid records while communicating with customers, estimators, and internal departments to ensure timely, accurate submissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related coursework preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in highway construction, estimating support, construction administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and bid documents preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn company software systems.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Maintain estimating databases and data tracking tools.
• Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members.
• Support continuous improvement efforts within the estimating department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Its sister companies provide other highway safety services including line striping, traffic control, and permanent signage.

Position Overview

Surface Preparation Technologies (SPT), LLC is seeking a full-time Estimating Coordinator located in New Kingstown, PA. The Estimating Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the estimating department by assisting with bid preparation, proposal development, bid tracking, and project documentation. This role ensures accurate and timely submission of bids while maintaining organized records and supporting communication between customers, estimating staff, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and submission of bid packages and proposals by:
  • Navigating Department of Transportation (DOT) and other authority websites to identify project information.
  • Reviewing project plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to support the estimating process.
  • Coordinating the collection and organization of bid-related documents and supporting information.
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Assisting estimators with project research and information gathering.
• Submit proposals to customers, being mindful of critical deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of bids, proposals, and related documentation.
• Maintain estimating databases and other data tracking tools.
• Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members.
• Support continuous improvement efforts within the estimating department.

Qualifications / Preferred Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in highway construction, estimating support, construction administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and bid documents preferred.
