Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Final Assembly, Technician II for the 1st shift in Greenwood, SC. The role involves assembling, wiring, and modifying high and medium voltage assemblies and sub-assemblies per drawings and procedures.

You will work to ensure quality using ISO checklists, manage material flow with Kanban, and collaborate with supervisors and engineers to address changes and customer needs.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Final Assembly, Technician II (1st Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

CORE HOURS: MONDAY - THURSDAY (5AM - 3PM)

What you’ll do:

In the Assembly Technician role, you assemble, wire, fit, and modify work in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.

• Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or engineering and to established procedures.
• Complete ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.
• Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.
• Receive, pick, label, pack and prepare for shipment, all material and assemblies.
• Maintain minimum levels of Kanban inventory and report shortages to appropriate operators.
• Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
• Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Must have a minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of three (3) months of experience using hand and air tools
• South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
