Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in Final Assembly program feasibility support.
  • Experience in Final Assembly Process preferred.
  • Prior launch experience and/or PMT subsystem leadership on a launch preferred.

Overview

An Advanced Program Development Study Lead oversees the planning, evaluation, and early-stage development of manufacturing processes, tools, and facilities for new or complex programs. They coordinate cross-functional teams to assess feasibility, optimize designs for manufacturability, and ensure production readiness before full-scale launch.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSc, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical OR a related Eng field) OR 3+ years' experience in Final Assembly program feasibility support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive manufacturing and Launch
  • Systems Engineering (mechanical, and electrical)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel, for the duration of a program
  • Cycle Line Layout development proficiency
  • Knowledge of VOPFAG Standards
  • Knowledge of VOPQUG Standards
  • MS Office Application proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Teamcenter proficiency preferred
  • Global Manufacturing Requirements (GMR) and Vehicle Operation Structure Standard (VOSS) fluency
  • SPC Problem solving skills (6 Sigma Black Belt preferred)
  • 5D/8D/14D Development proficiency
  • B.S. Engineering degree required / Masters preferred
  • Experience in Final Assembly Process preferred
  • Working knowledge of DPA5 tools (GSPAS/VPS, APT, Teamcenter, PFMEA, SCCAFs, Error proofing, etc.)
  • Prior launch experience and/or PMT subsystem leadership on a launch preferred

  • Lead Program Financial / Costing Milestones Final Assembly Cost studies
  • Manage, drive data collection with functions
  • Drive quality, efficiency, and standardization within the cost line items
  • Lead Q-Form (Program Change Management) Process… Collection, GMOD population and communication between function groups and Manufacturing Strategy and Advanced Planning (MSAP)
  • Manage the Program Management level cost reporting of LLF Calendarization, Budget to Quotes
  • Generate and manage Checkbook status and hand-off to Implementation teams.
  • DPA5 Checklist Creation
  • FAE Glidepath Status Report
  • Virtual Build / All Parts Review
  • P-Release Glidepath Report
  • Lead CLL Deep Dives
Clearing House Leads
  • Support MSAP and Manufacturing Architecture teams with Target Setting and Lead Program Financial / Costing Milestones Final Assembly Cost studies
  • Capacity Action cost studies
  • Manage, drive data collection with functions
  • Develop GMOD process and tool functionality
  • Drive updates to the BoG
  • Lead Non-Prod studies and development
