A leading company in North Carolina is seeking a Final Assembly Mechanic/Welder for the 1st shift. The role involves welding components, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe work environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma and the ability to obtain Altec Weld Certification. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for cross-training and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Work Environment
Operate in an environment that may lack climate control, with hot conditions in summer and cold in winter. PPE such as earplugs, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, welding helmets, gloves, and shields are required.
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
Must hold Altec Weld Certification or have at least 6 months of assembly experience with the ability to become certified within 30 days.
Tools and Equipment
Use hand tools, measuring devices, grinders, bolt machinery, overhead cranes, welding and cutting torches.
Knowledge and Skills
Understanding of dimensions, blueprints, schematics, MIG welding, and mechanical systems.
Certifications
Certified MIG welder.
