Paycom - ATS is seeking a skilled Fin Tube Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Oklahoma. This role safely sets up and operates the McElroy 6S finning machine to produce quality finned tubes per blueprints, specs, and production requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience operating a McElroy finning machine preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, dimensions, planning sheets, and sketches.
• Excellent measuring skills with tape measures, calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

We are looking for a skilled Fin Tube Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely setting up and operating the McElroy 6S finning machine to produce quality finned tubes according to blueprints, specifications, and production requirements. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, self-motivated, and able to maintain a high level of quality and productivity.ResponsibilitiesFollow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.Safely set up and independently operate the McElroy 6S finning machine.Understand the differences between various fin tube types and fabricate both wrap-on and embedded finned tubes.Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, specifications, and related technical information.Determine appropriate tooling, setup procedures, machine settings, finning methods, and operating sequences.Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed, and coolant flow as needed for proper operation.Monitor machine operation by observing and listening for conditions that may indicate malfunctions or quality issues.Measure parts using tape measures, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and other required measuring equipment.Operate overhead cranes on a daily basis to safely load and position materials for the machine.Operate forklifts when needed and after completing required training and authorization.Assist with loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes when required.Meet established production quotas while maintaining required safety and quality standards.Maintain a finned tube failure rate of less than 1%.Inspect completed work to ensure finned tubes meet required specifications and dimensions.Identify and report equipment, tooling, material, or quality issues to management.Clean and maintain the finning machine and surrounding work area at the end of each shift.Complete assigned work efficiently and within established production hours.Work effectively with team members and support other shop activities when needed.Perform other duties as assigned.High school diploma or equivalent required.2 years of experience operating a McElroy finning machine highly preferred.Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, dimensions, planning sheets, and sketches.Knowledge of wrap-on and embedded finned tube manufacturing preferred.Ability to determine appropriate tooling, machine settings, and finning methods.Ability to safely and accurately use tape measures, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and other measuring tools.Ability to recognize machine malfunctions and communicate equipment or production concerns.Ability to consistently maintain less than a 1% finned tube failure rate.Self-motivated and able to work with moderate supervision.Ability to efficiently execute production plans and meet established production requirements.Dependable and punctual with a willingness to work overtime or outside normal hours when needed.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Takes pride in workmanship and maintaining high standards for safety and quality.Safety-oriented and committed to following established procedures.Ability to learn additional equipment and manufacturing processes as needed.Working ConditionsWork is performed in an industrial manufacturing shop environment.Work may take place around welding and grinding operations.Exposure to welding fumes, gases, grinding dust, noise, machinery, and other shop hazards.Work areas are not fully climate controlled and may experience extreme heat and cold.Must be able to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds.Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, bend, and perform other physical movements throughout the workday.May be required to work around overhead cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.Must wear required PPE and follow all applicable safety procedures.Overtime, extended hours, or schedule changes may be required based on production and project needs.Must be able to work safely and effectively in a shop environment throughout all seasons.
