Job summary

Rain for Rent in California is seeking a Filtration Separation Specialist to provide technical support and training for our filtration/separation rental fleet. This position coordinates with Engineering, Sales, Operations and customers to maximize value and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate technical needs to customers and vendors.
  • Provide design recommendations for meeting water quality goals at site using Rain for Rent equipment.
  • Assist sales to propose solutions to prospects through on-site or online presentations.
  • Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, competition, and market trends.
  • Support filtration/separation training for sales and operations staff.
  • Stay current on environmental regulations affecting our products.
  • Provide reports and insights to management on product performance and trends.
  • Collect and document equipment parameters for performance assessment.
  • Ensure products meet customer expectations and manage project risk.

Description

Filtration Separation Specialist -This position provides technical support and training for existing and new filtration/separation rental fleet products to internal and external customers to insure the highest value to the customer and profit to the company. It is a customer facing, sales oriented, project management and support position that coordinates communication between Engineering, Sales, Operations, and the end customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate technical needs to internal/external customers and vendors.
  • Provide design recommendations for meeting water quality goals at unique sites utilizing standard Rain for Rent rental equipment and other necessary filtration/treatment products.
  • Assist sales personnel to develop and propose solutions to prospects and customers through on-site and online presentations.
  • Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, competition, and market trends to create effective sales strategies
  • Support in filtration/separation training to sales and operational personnel in classroom and field settings.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry regulations including, but not limited to, the Clean Water Act, NPDES and other relevant environmental laws.
  • Provide reports and insights to management on product performance, enhancements, competition, and industry trends.
  • Collect and validate equipment operational parameters to document equipment capabilities. Uses electronic and or mechanical equipment to collect information.
  • Work with internal staff to ensure products meet the customers’ expectations.
  • Evaluate projects to eliminate and avoid risk to all personnel, the company, customer, and environment.
  • Participate in project risk reviews with the engineering department.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the operation.

Certifications:

ATS (Active Treatment System) not required but a plus.

CPESC® (Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control™) not required but a plus.

CPSWQ® (Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality™) not required but a plus
