Job summary

AAF International is seeking a Filter Service Technician II to install HVAC filters and perform on-site service on various air handlers. The role involves driving service trucks, inspecting units, and maintaining paperwork and vehicle upkeep.

The position requires a High School Diploma, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the flexibility to travel out of town as needed. DOT physical and safe work at heights are essential; manufacturing environment includes indoor/outdoor work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Must have transportation to the branch.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Must be able to lift weight up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Experience driving 16ft to 24ft box trucks preferred.
• Must be able to pass the DOT Physical Examination.

Responsibilities

• Primary Driver of Service Trucks.
• Make initial contact with the person in charge when arriving on site and explain the day's work.
• Install HVAC filters in various types of air handlers.
• Clean all trash, debris and saturated filters off roofs and dispose properly.
• Perform visual inspections of each unit during the service.
• Be responsible for Service Tech I work assigned.
• Keep records: date and initial filters in filter bank; note deficiencies and forward to manager.
• Ensure paperwork is signed and service vehicle is maintained as per guidelines.
• Load and unload truck; make deliveries and pickups.
• Travel out of town as needed (>10%).
• Work first, second, and weekend shifts as customer needs require.

We are hiring a Filter Service Technician II

Key Responsibilities

• Primary Driver of Service Trucks
• Make initial contact with the person in charge when arriving on site and explain the day's work.
• Install HVAC filters in various types of air handlers.
• At the completion of work, you must clean all trash, debris and saturated filters off roof tops and dispose properly.
• Perform visual inspections of each unit during the service.
• Responsible for Service Tech I work assigned.
• Date and initial filters in filter bank.
• Take notes of any deficiencies and forward it to manager to contact the customer.
• Have the paperwork signed.
• Ensure the service vehicle is maintained properly and as noted in vehicles specification guide.
• Accountability of all tools.
• Load and unload truck.
• Make deliveries and pickups when necessary.
• Must be a team player, able to work w/ others.
• On occasion, be able to go out of town for service jobs.
• Must be available to work first, second and weekend shifts when required by our customer needs.
• Able to travel out of town/state - >10% out of town work
• Must be able to pass background check for finger printing and badging access to secure sites
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.

• Experience working indoors and outdoors.
• Experience driving 16ft to 24ft box trucks preferred.
• Feel comfortable working with hand tools.
• Basic HVAC technical knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass the DOT Physical Examination.
• Basic math skills are needed to be able to figure percentages and to verify figures.
• Must be able to professionally communicate w/ customers and coworkers.
