Job summary

Rockline Industries in Sheboygan, WI is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to coordinate repair and enhancement projects, ensure safety and productivity, and train associates in related tasks. The role includes apprenticeship opportunities and involvement with Rockline's RRITE values in daily work.

The position is safety-sensitive with a 4th shift (Fri-Sun, 5:30 AM–5:30 PM). Minimum starting rate is $31.11 per hour with additional compensation for experience and education, plus a $5,000

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Journeyman card or 10+ years maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of TPM, preventative/predictive maintenance, operator basic care, and equipment efficiency metrics.
• Electrical, mechanical, machine rigging, light fabrication, power transmission, bearings, lubrication, pneumatic.
• Strong leadership, verbal, written, analytical, mathematical, reasoning, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with PCs, including the Microsoft Office family, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair operations equipment promptly using root-cause analysis.
• Complete machine enhancement projects.
• Collaborate with process improvement engineers to standardize work, reduce scrap, and increase throughput.
• Use maintenance software to track progress and materials for timely work orders.
• Document major equipment issues and plan corrective actions with the Process Support Group.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery and process-related deficiencies; perform general facility maintenance.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Filter Maintenance Technician is responsible for the coordination of machine repair and enhancement projects along with the necessary support systems to ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met on the assigned projects at the Rockline - Sheboygan facility. Responsible for equipment and tooling fabrication, and related associate training to ensure continuous process improvements.

Paid apprenticeship opportunity and advanced schooling through LTC.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Make repairs to operations equipment in a timely manner through root cause analysis.
• Complete machine enhancement projects.
• Work closely with process improvement engineers to drive standardized work, reduce scrap, and increase throughput.
• Utilize maintenance software to track all team members' work progress and materials to ensure timely completion of work orders and employee performance accountability.
• Work with Process Support Group to identify and document major equipment-related issues and establish an organized plan to implement corrective action.
• Troubleshoot and repair all machinery and process-related deficiencies using electrical/mechanical skills. This includes performing general maintenance duties for all facility-related equipment.

This position is designated as a Safety-Sensitive (A safety-sensitive position is one in which the associate's inability or impaired ability to perform their job-related tasks could result in a direct threat to the associate's safety or the safety of others).

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 5 years maintenance experience within a manufacturing setting required.
• In lieu of 5 years of experience, candidates actively pursuing education or training in the maintenance field may be considered.
• Journeyman card or 10+ years maintenance experience preferred.
• Candidate may be required to enroll in a trade apprenticeship.
• Working knowledge of TPM, preventative/predictive maintenance, operator basic care, and equipment efficiency metrics and measures.
• Electrical, mechanical, machine rigging, light fabrication, power transmission, bearings, lubrication, pneumatic.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership, verbal, written, analytical, mathematical, reasoning, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with PCs, including the Microsoft Office family, is preferred
• PC / PLC control systems is preferred.
• Working knowledge of paper/nonwovens converting, slitting, winding, filling, packaging, sealing, conveying, and associated equipment is preferred.

Compensation:

• Minimum starting rate: $31.11 per hour
  • Additional compensation based on experience and/or education.
  • ($28 per hour x Weekend Rate)
• $5,000 Sign-on Bonus!
  • Three payouts over the first year of employment.
• Maintenance Technicians have additional opportunities for continued career advancement.
• Overtime is available, but not required
