Job summary

Transcendia, Inc. in Indiana is seeking a production operator to set up and operate slitting machines, cutting film to specified widths, lengths and diameters while meeting safety, quality and productivity standards.

The role requires reading production schedules and customer specs, adjusting blades, measuring output with tape measures and gauges, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of experience are preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to work at a fast pace and multi-task.
Excellent measurement reading skills, including tape measures and micrometers.

Responsibilities

Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse.
Maintains a safe working environment by following safety policies and reporting issues.
Maintains company quality standards and handles damaged material per procedures.
Installs and aligns blades for slitting feedstock materials.
Starts machine and adjusts settings, monitors operation.
Tests and adjusts settings to meet specifications.
Reads production schedules and documents to determine setup needs.
Threads feedstock and secures on rewinder.
Observes machine operation and checks rolls for defects.
Measures dimensions of rolls to ensure conformance.
