Position Responsibilities
- Supervises/monitors the day to day operations of the Film Library for the Diagnostic Center, Main Radiology, Aventura Diagnostic Center and Hialeah FSED in the absence of the Lead Imaging Data Representative.
- Demonstrates knowledge, understanding & use of the MSMC PACS system (Synapse).
- Performs digital image sharing for specific surgical patients utilizing the "Home Visionaire" (Smith & Nephew) application.
- Assist with training Film Librarians, Patient Representatives and Technical Assistants in various functions of the Film Library area according to documented job description requirements.
- Demonstrates knowledge & skills in sharing requested patient images within the Mount Sinai and Leon Medical Center network utilizing the Leon Medical Center program/application.
- As requested, copies and releases patient images and reports on CDs to the requesting party in a timely, courteous and efficient manner.
- Demonstrates understanding & use of the RISScheduler used to update and/or modify patient & modality orders.
- Demonstrates understanding & use of the various PC applications required for importing images from CDs for several MSMC imaging departments including the Cath Lab, Breast Center & Echocardiology.
- Monitors the daily Pending Work Report for clinically incomplete studies for the areas of the Diagnostic Center, Main Radiology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound & satellite facilities.
- Demonstrates understanding & use of the specific links required to submit/share requested images for the Surgical Neuro/Spine physicians & Nicholas Children's Hospital physicians.
- Demonstrates understanding & use of the "Release of Information" (ROI) PC application required to provide the HIM department with a list of patient's exams, for legal cases as per attorney/Client requests.
- Proficient in in the following PowerShare tasks; Outbound Image Sharing, Inbound Image Processing, System Maintenance & Manager Oversight, and Maintain Clean and Up-to-Date System.
- Demonstrates proper image window leveling competency & knowledge when choosing images/procedures associated with specific window level fields to yield a diagnostic exam when transferred to CDs.
- Assist in maintaining adequate supplies and materials required for the daily operation of the Film Library.
- Attends department Leads meeting as scheduled.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience
- Four years of experience in a medical setting preferred. Good communication skills and proficiency in the skills outlined in Section 3 are required.
