Job summary

AnewHealth is seeking a Filling Pharmacy Technician to join our Ohio-based team. You will work along the conveyor to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately, support inventory activities, and package orders for shipment to patients.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, PTCB certification, and Ohio Board of Pharmacy registration preferred (or willingness to obtain). Prior pharmacy experience is a plus and strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) and registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy preferred or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Experience in a pharmacy environment is preferred; ability to work along a conveyor and handle inventory.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions at the filling station along the conveyor.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency of order fulfillment.
• Stock and manage pharmacy inventory, and ensure quality assurance.
• Package orders for shipment to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the filling station.
• Communicate effectively with teammates to resolve patient issues.
• Meet daily pharmacy goals and support timely delivery to patients.

Job Details

The Filling Pharmacy Technician will work along the conveyor to ensure prescription add-ons are processed accurately and efficiently. They will also support inventory activities. As well, this individual will ensure orders are packaged properly to be shipped out to patients.

Responsibilities

• Processing prescriptions at designated filling station located along the conveyor.
• Maintain the accuracy and efficiency of order fulfillment.
• Responsible for stocked received pharmacy inventory.
• Maintain filling station cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure filling station is properly stocked at all times.
• Packaging orders to be shipped out to patients.
• Monitor station queues
• Maintain appropriate level of quality assurance to meet patient needs.
• Accountable for meeting daily pharmacy goals to make certain timely delivery to patients.
• Demonstrates superior written and verbal skills to communicate with internal counterparts to resolve patient issues.

Education

• High school diploma /GED required.
• Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board and registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, preferred.
• If not registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, must be willing to obtain a registration status upon hire.

Experience

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy environment, preferred
• Prior pharmacy technician experience, preferred.

Physical/Mental Demands

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the pharmacy for extended periods of time. Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling medications, operating equipment, and using computer systems. Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving items up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity to read prescription labels, reports, and computer screens accurately. May require bending, reaching, and repetitive motions during production activities.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
