Job summary

Award Staffing is seeking a Filling & Packaging Operator for the Golden Valley, MN area. The role is a temporary-to-hire position on 2nd shift, with a pay rate of $20-24/hour and occasional OT.

Duties include operating filling equipment, following production tickets, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Qualifications include a HS diploma, 1 year of related production experience, forklift exposure, and the ability to read instructions in English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of related production line experience and forklift operator experience.
• Must read and understand written instructions in English.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems on the line as they occur.
• Able to work with flammable, toxic, and corrosive liquids on a production line.
• Pallet jack operation experience is desirable.
• Computer operation skills are desirable.
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Standing for an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform bottle filling assemblies and operate related machines.
• Follow written Production Work Ticket (PWT) instructions for production tasks.
• Gather raw materials, set up the line, and produce samples for QA.
• Upon inspection approval, produce, label, pack, and load orders onto pallets.
• Report defective materials or issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety rules.
• Document production performance using SFC and QC worksheets.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required.
• Complete tasks per production schedules with minimal supervision.
• Operate all material handling equipment safely and report repairs needed.
• Package bulk material for replenishment per PWT.
• Adapt to schedule changes and workload shifts.
• Attend monthly department and production meetings.
