Job summary

Rust-Oleum Corporation is seeking a Filling Line Operator in Arizona to perform filling and packaging of finished products, set up equipment, adjust line settings and assist with line changeovers. You will read BOMs, inspect quality, ensure correct weights and SKUs, and keep the work area organized per 5S standards.

This is an in-person, full-time role with competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities include ensuring efficient line operation, accurate data entry, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform all filling line machine operation functions related to filling and packaging of finished products, including setup and operation of line equipment.
• Maintain quality by completing in-process inspections of cans, boxes and containers.
• Certify weights and verify labels and SKUs are correct.
• Examine job orders for quantities, times, BOMs and SKU sequences.
• Operate equipment at efficient speed to ensure proper quantity and output.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and assist in monthly raw/material inventory.
• Ensure a safe, clean work area and report hazards to supervisor.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Rust-Oleum Corporation is responsible for operating, setting up, adjusting, and performing quality control (QC) checks while tending to machines & hand-fills to package paint in a safe, consistent and efficient manner according to specifications. In addition, the Filling Line Operator is responsible for reading and following the bill of materials, preparing components, following order specifications to determine material and equipment requirements, and assisting with the QC process.

Here's what you can expect every day:

• Perform all filling line machine operation functions related to the filling and packaging of all finished products, including setting up and operating filling line equipment, adhering to production schedule, making equipment adjustments and assisting with line changeover.
• Maintain quality standards by completing in-process inspection of cans, boxes and other containers.
• Certify that product weights are measured and recorded correctly; checking to make sure package labels and SKUs are correct.
• Examine job orders to determine details such as quantities to be filled, production times, stock specifications, BOM's, and SKU sequences.
• Operate equipment at most efficient speed to ensure proper quantity and output.
• Housekeeping - maintain work area to 5S procedures, trash removal, clean work area and assist in monthly inventory of raw and stock materials as needed.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean and free of recognizable hazards, communicating all spills or other hazards to the shift supervisor.

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and understand instructions, bills of lading and other shipping and production documents
• Ability to complete basic math problems
• Ability to accurately enter and retrieve computer data
• Ability to operate machinery
• Ability to solve problems in a team environment and actively participate in the Rust-Oleum Corporation QIO program
• Ability to lift 50 lbs

Job Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00/hour; bonus eligible
Shift: Monday - Friday
