Job summary

MSI Express is seeking a Machine Operator to safely operate filling equipment and pace the line by setting appropriate speeds. The role involves adjusting timing to ensure correct weight/volume and requires monthly quality checks by weighing samples as specified.

Responsibilities include maintaining packaging integrity, reporting malfunctions immediately, and keeping a clean, GMP-compliant work area. Overtime and adherence to safety policies are expected, with emphasis on Food Safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift.
• Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools.
• Ability to load/unload, lift/move equipment/product which may weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Pass all company testing.
• Previous experience working on a production line that uses filler equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set filler equipment speeds to pace the line according to efficiency standards.
• Adjust timing to ensure proper weight/volume of product dispensed per quality specs.
• Weigh a sample every 15 minutes (or as required) to check accuracy.
• Maintain packaging quality integrity and clean, organized work area per GMP.
• Report malfunctions to production supervisor immediately.
• Follow all company policies including general manufacturing and safety practices.
• Contribute to Food Safety and Quality within their influence and report issues promptly.
• Perform any other duties as instructed by management.
