Job summary

  • Quality Control and Assurance: Properly cut and grade all types of fish to ensure lowest percentage of loss and maximum shelf life.
  • Hygiene and Sanitation: Sanitize work area and equipment before filleting; clean-up workstation and department; dispose of waste and excess product properly.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Inform supervisor of changes or problems; communicate quality issues to supervisors and merchandising; assist coworkers in times of high workload.

A Filleter I at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Production team supporting efforts to properly fillet various species of fish for sales, ensuring maximum use of product. This position involves properly cutting, and filleting products to ensure quality and is ideal for someone who is a good communicator, meticulous, and follows procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Quality Control and Assurance
    • Properly cut and grade all types of fish to ensure lowest percentage of loss and maximum shelf life
    • Preciously cut and fillet 10-60 lb. fish with a knife.
    • Survey all equipment to ensure proper working order.
  2. Hygiene and Sanitation
    • Sanitize work area and equipment before filleting.
    • Clean-up workstation and department.
    • Dispose of waste and excess product properly.
  3. Communication and Teamwork
    • Inform supervisor of any changes or problems.
    • Communicate quality issues to supervisors and merchandising.
    • Assist coworkers in times of high workload.
