Job summary

Mars Petcare is hiring an Operator 1 - Filler at our Fort Smith, AR plant. The role supports production lines, performs material loading, assists with changeovers, and ensures quality and food safety standards are met. You will document production data and work with the team to minimize downtime.

The position requires basic computer/IPad data entry, a willingness to stand long hours, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A competitive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Proficient with data entry and basic computer/IPad use.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment in the primary area, following safety standards (LOTO, confined space).
• Load production materials and assist with changeovers while meeting quality standards.
• Communicate effectively to prevent downtime and quality issues.
• Document quality attributes and enter data into the system for shift reports.
• Support breaks and lunches by operating equipment as needed.
• Adhere to GMPs and food safety practices and regulatory standards.
