Job Overview

The primary function of the Fill Zone Technician is to ensure safe and reliable loading of trailers at the Wilmington, CA Fill Zone. The technician works in a team environment where individuals are empowered to set priorities and perform various activities with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow safe work permit processes, policies, and procedures.
• Safely move Tractor-Trailers within the plant property.
• Assist in training and developing new employees.
• Review dispatch lists and verify trailers for loading.
• Maintain communication with logistics.
• Ensure customer quality requirements are met for all products, maintaining Quality Program standards.
• Follow all SMP, SOP, COP, OSS, OPS alerts, and Technical Bulletins.
• Understand and resolve fill zone and backup system issues as required.
• Manage analyzer parameters, including reference and product gas flows.
• Fill trailers to optimum capacity and communicate issues.
• Review QA logs and Certificates of Conformance for errors.
• Perform QA testing and unload Argon Railcars into Storage Tanks.
• Complete Railcar inspections.
• Complete all LMS training modules and OJT for the assigned job within the designated timeline.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates in Applied Sciences Degree or apprenticeship preferred.
• Motivated self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks.
• Relevant computer and technical skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs/ladders, work in tight spaces, and wear PPE.

Salary range: $52,000 - $52,612.04.
