American Welding and Gas, Inc. is hiring an Industrial Gas Plant Filler for our Columbia, SC facility. The role involves filling compressed gas and liquid cylinders, performing pre-fill inspections, labeling, and moving/ staging cylinders as needed.

Training is provided; no prior experience required. The position emphasizes adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements, with opportunities for growth in a large national gas distributor network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to read and interpret gauges and analog dials.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders.
• Forklift skills are a plus.
• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow all SOPs.
• Ensure cylinders meet specifications daily.
• Ensure all cylinders pass pre-fill inspections before filling.
• Fill cylinders as outlined in SOP.
• Move compressed gas or liquid cylinders.
• Label cylinders correctly.
• Complete and verify paperwork accurately.
• Comply with cGMP, HazMat, OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

American Welding and Gas, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Industrial Gas Plant Filler at our gas cylinder production/distribution facility in Columbia, SC! No experience required - WILL TRAIN!

Position Summary

This position will have the primary responsibility for the manufacturing of compressed gas and liquid products, which includes pre-fill inspection of cylinders, filling, labeling and analysis or quarantine of cylinders prior to release for shipment. In this role, the ideal candidate must also move and store cylinders and may load/unload cylinders for transport.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Ensure manifold meets required specifications (daily)
• Ensure all cylinders pass required pre-fill inspections prior to filling
• Fill cylinders as outlined in the SOP
• Move compressed gas or liquid cylinders
• Correctly label cylinders
• Ensure completion and accuracy of paperwork
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, HazMat, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies
• Other duties as assigned
