Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a skilled technician to maintain, repair and install skins, costumes, props, and sets for Rides and Shows in Orlando, FL. The role involves painting, molding, casting, sculpture, carpentry, and mechanical work to preserve aesthetics and functionality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of silicone skin repair, fiberglass repair, scenic painting and related finishing techniques.
• Experience with painting, molding, casting, and fabrication of show elements.
• Ability to work with costumes, wigs, makeup, and related materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and install skins, coverings, and support structures for animated figures.
• Maintain sets, backdrops, curtains, scrims, and related show props; document work.
• Maintain, fabricate, and install/show props; plan, mold, cast, and finish pieces.
• Assist with access into figures, props, and sets for inspections and repairs.
• Maintain/embed fasteners and attachments for figures, sets, props.
• Inspect figures, sets, props, facilities, equipment, and tools; document findings.
• Follow Environmental, Health & Safety policies and participate in related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
