Job summary

People, Technology & Processes, LLC seeks a Fighting and Mindset Physical Training SME to instruct NSW Basic Training Command SEAL Qualification Training candidates and staff. You will develop and deliver progressive curriculum, ensure safety, and coordinate with NSW leadership to sustain effective training across multiple sites.

Requirements include a minimum of five years in SOF fighting training and a decade teaching in NSW disciplines, plus active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years teaching Fighting and Mindset Physical Training to Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel.
• Minimum of five (5) years professional or college level fighting in at least four (4) NSW disciplines (Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, Judo, Kickboxing, Muay-Thai).
• Minimum of ten (10) years teaching or coaching Fighting and Mindset Physical Training disciplines at various levels.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain personnel and vehicle access to military installations and sign a Non-disclosure Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Instruct fundamental skills including fighting stance and footwork.
• Instruct clinch and takedown skills including break falls, clinches, takedowns, and wall work.
• Instruct ground fighting positions, submissions, and return-to-feet techniques.
• Deliver 1.5-hour morning sessions to candidates and staff, and support PRODEV and sustainment training.
• Develop quarterly training progression plans for OIC approval, aligning with NSWC Instruction 3300.2A.
• Maintain communication with NSWBTC Det SQT Training Officer for curriculum alignment and TTP integration.
• Travel for SME validation and TTP incorporation to NAB Little Creek VA, NAS Oceana Dam Neck, and Pearl City Peninsula Hawaii.
• Implement and maintain a Quality Control Plan and exercise authority to stop training when safety is at risk.
• Comply with all applicable Federal, DoD, Navy, and USSOCOM regulations, safety, security, and cyber-security policies.

Position Title : Fighting and Mindset Physical Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) Location : NAB Coronado, San Diego, CA Clearance required : SECRET Scope of Work: The SME provides Fighting and Mindset Physical Training instruction to Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command SEAL Qualification Training candidates and staff in accordance with NSWC Instruction 3300.2A. The SME delivers skill development, SME development, and sustainment instruction, and acts as a Fighting and Mindset Physical Training Instructor to ensure continuity and continued validity of training throughout NSW. The SME develops and delivers quarterly training progression plans and maintains curriculum alignment with the NSWBTC Det SQT Training Officer. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Instruct fundamental skills including fighting stance and footwork.
• Instruct clinch and takedown skills including break falls, clinches (Muay Thai, single arm, wrestling), basic clinch skills, clinch controls, takedowns, takedown defense, and using a wall.
• Instruct ground fighting including essential ground fighting positions, positional dominance, submissions, and returning to your feet.
• Deliver instruction during 1.5-hour morning sessions to candidates and staff, and support Professional Development (PRODEV) and sustainment training.
• Develop and deliver quarterly training progression plans for OIC approval, progressing from introductory basics to advanced curriculum per NSWC Instruction 3300.2A.
• Maintain communication with the NSWBTC Det SQT Training Officer to ensure curriculum alignment and implement emergent approved TTPs.
• Travel for SME validation and TTP incorporation to NAB Little Creek VA, NAS Oceana Dam Neck, and Pearl City Peninsula Commands, Hawaii.
• Implement and maintain a Quality Control Plan and exercise authority to stop training when safety is at risk.
• Comply with all applicable Federal, DoD, Navy, and USSOCOM regulations, safety, security, and cyber-security policies, and complete required Contractor Manpower Reporting. Qualifications
• Minimum of five (5) years documented experience teaching Fighting and Mindset Physical Training to Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel.
• Minimum of five (5) years professional or college level fighting experience in at least four (4) of the six NSW disciplines (Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, Judo, Kickboxing, Muay-Thai), with experience in all three phases of Standup, Transition, and Groundwork.
• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience teaching or coaching Fighting and Mindset Physical Training disciplines at various experience levels (beginner, amateur, professional).
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience planning, managing, and executing multiple Fighting and Mindset Physical Training programs.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain personnel and vehicle access to military installations and sign a Non-disclosure Agreement.
