At 28 Villages, we provide remote accommodation, catering, and support services to mining companies operating in Western Australia. We specialise in delivering exceptional village management services, bringing our villages to life through friendly customer service and outstanding catering.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for Assistant Village Managers who are ready to progress their career within a dynamic and supportive company. If you're passionate about leadership, teamwork, and making a positive impact, we want you to join our team!

In this role, you will work back-to-back with a Senior Village Manager, overseeing the management of Utilities and Chefs, ensuring outstanding service delivery for both our clients and guests. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their professional skills while contributing to a company that values and invests in its people.

This position operates on an 8/6 roster and is perfect for a motivated leader with a hands-on approach who is eager to take the next step in their career.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Managing full Village Operations including Cleaning, Housekeeping, and Catering services in accordance with client expectations.
  2. Creating a safe work culture through the delivery of daily pre-start team meetings.
  3. Ensuring consistent operational performance while maintaining safety standards.
  4. Cost control and stock management.
  5. Rostering of staff, timesheets & Payroll.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have previous village supervisory or management experience, most importantly a great work ethic and positive approach to problem solving. The following attributes are strongly desired:

  1. "Hands-on" approach with the ability to "teach not tell" when supporting your team.
  2. Able to maintain composure and communicate with customers and co-workers in a polite and professional manner.
  3. Flexible and adaptable approach.
  4. Strong focus on customer service excellence.

  6. Commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
  7. Available for FIFO from Perth.

Role Requirements

Your capabilities extend beyond qualifications, and at 28 Villages, we highly regard soft skills alongside experience. However, the following abilities and qualifications are essential for consideration:

  1. Approved Managers licence.
  2. Proficient in using INX Software.
  3. Good computer skills using the Microsoft Suite.
  4. Prior experience working within the remote mining villages.
  5. Hospitality experience minimum 5 years (desirable).
  6. Ability to pass a medical and drug and alcohol screen.
  7. National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
  8. Safety and Training qualifications will be highly regarded.
