Job summary

Portage Township Schools is seeking a reliable Fieldhouse Supervisor for Community Hours at Portage High School Fieldhouse. The role runs Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM, October 1 through the third week of May, at a starting pay of $13.00 per hour.

Must be a current Portage Township Schools employee and capable of maintaining a welcoming, safe environment for residents using the facility. Reports To: Director of Maintenance, Principal.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Portage Township Schools employee in good standing.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage responsibilities independently.
• Comfortable interacting with community members of all ages.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a supervisory setting.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Fieldhouse facility at designated times.
• Greet and monitor community members using the space.
• Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
• Enforce district guidelines and policies related to community use.
• Complete any required logs, reports, or incident forms.
• Communicate any concerns, damage, or misuse to the appropriate personnel.

Position Summary

Portage Township Schools is seeking a reliable and community-oriented individual to serve as the Fieldhouse Supervisor during designated evening community hours. This is an excellent opportunity for a current PTS employee who is looking to engage with the public, promote wellness, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents using the facility.

Schedule

• Season:October 1 through the third week of May
• Days/Times:Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
• Note: Schedule may vary slightly based on building use or weather.
