Job summary

A leading wind energy service provider is seeking skilled technicians to perform major component exchanges on turbines. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Liftra systems and the ability to climb heights over 400 feet. A valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and at least 21 years of age are required. The role includes travel to various wind farms and requires teamwork and adherence to safety protocols. Additional training provided for certifications like GWO and OSHA.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid passport.
• Must be able to work an 8-week on, 1 week off rotation.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
• Must pass a satisfactory criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform major component exchanges of turbine components.
• Assist with crane coordination and lift planning.
• Conduct mechanical disassembly and reassembly of turbine components.
• Inspect components for damage during exchanges.
• Complete service documentation and reports.

Skills

Hands-on experience operating Liftra blade exchange systems

Experience with torquing and tensioning

Experience using a grease gun

Ability to climb wind turbines up to 120m

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English

Education

GWO BST (Basic Safety Training)

GWO BTT (Basic Technical Training)

OSHA 10 General Industry
