Job summary

Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks in Miles City, MT, seeks a Wildlife Technician to support the Nongame Wildlife Program, assist with surveys, and contribute to conservation efforts statewide. You will travel regionally, work indoors and in the field, and mentor interns while collecting data and coordinating with partners; strong independence and teamwork required.

Qualifications include a wildlife-related bachelor's degree, field survey experience, and proficiency with ArcGIS and MS Office;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience conducting wildlife surveys across taxa preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and lead wildlife surveys for SGCN species.
• Collect, record, and manage ecological data.
• Train and supervise interns and coordinate field activities.
• Communicate with landowners and partners professionally.
• Enter data and assist with reporting.
